Michael Jackson mugshotORIGINAL POST FOLLOWS:

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of two vehicles from Joseph Motors (3003 Combee Road South) in Lakeland, within 24 hours...by the same guy.

The thefts occurred on September 27th. The first one happened at about 2:30am. The suspect (black male, about 6' tall and 180 lbs, with long dreads) broke into the business and stole several car keys. He then went out into the lot and hopped into a black 2015 Chevy Camaro and stole it. Based on the security video, he didn't know much about driving a Camaro because it took him about four minutes to drive it away.

Our suspect returned that night at around 11:46 pm, but wearing a lot less clothes. This time, he jumps into a white 2007 Chevy pickup truck. He had far less trouble with the truck than he did with the Camaro.

The pickup truck has since been recovered in Bartow.

If you think you recognize this suspect, or you have information that could be helpful to this investigation, please contact Detective C. Thomas at 863-499-2400. Or if you wish to remain anonymous, contact Heartland Crime Stoppers - call 1-800-226 TIPS (8477), visit the website www.heartlandcrimestoppers.com and click on "Submit A Tip," or download the free "P3tips" app on your smartphone or tablet.Suspect photo
