A burglary and theft which occurred at a residence near West Memorial and Wabash (Lakeland) is being investigated by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
On Tuesday, June 21st at around 4:30 p.m., an unknown man stole a weed eater from the front porch. The equipment is described as a gas-powered red Craftsman. Additionally, the suspect took extra weed eater string and a red 2.5-gallon plastic gas can.
The suspect was riding a black bicycle.
