CRIME: GRAND THEFT, VEHICLE BURGLARY
CRIME SCENE: JENNY WAY, LAKELAND
POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CASE #23-23002

At 1:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, the suspect seen here walked up to the victim's Mazda 6 that was parked in a driveway on Jenny Drive in Lakeland, opened the front passenger door, and stole a backpack from within it. The backpack contained several personal items, including a checkbook and a cell phone, with a total value of $860.00.

He attempted to steal from the other car parked there, but the doors were locked. He then walked away.

The suspect is described as a white male carrying a Nintendo switch and a cell phone, wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt with a logo on the back, a ballcap, dark pants, a chain necklace, and gloves.
