The male suspect in this investigation has been identified as 35-year old Glenn Mathis of Orlando. A complaint affidavit for a charge of felony retail theft has been submitted to the State Attorney's Office.


CRIME: RETAIL THEFT
CRIME SCENE: FAMILY DOLLAR - 2780 RECKER HWY, WINTER HAVEN
POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CASE #: 25-7587

A retail theft occurred at the Family Dollar store in the Jan Phyl Village area (2780 Recker Hwy, Winter Haven) on February 23rd at about 5:15pm.

The two suspects arrived and left together in a burnt orange Dodge Journey. 

The woman, wearing what appears to be pajamas and slippers, held the door for the male suspect as he exited the store with a cart full of merchandise valued at $131.55.  

A store employee went outside and took photos of the male suspect and the vehicle, at which time he told the employee to get back inside the store or he would beat her.
