LOCK IT OR LOSE IT. Highland City residents - we're investigating a rash of vehicle burglaries in the area of Central Avenue SE and 1st & 2nd Avenue SE that occurred on Monday evening/Tuesday morning, July 18-19th. So far we have nearly a dozen UNLOCKED vehicles that were ransacked, and 8 victims. Among the items stolen was a Mossberg Patriot .243 caliber rifle with a scope and ammo, and a woman's purse with identification and credit cards in it.
