Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a theft that occurred in unincorporated Lakeland. 

On March 24th at about 4:20 PM, the victim was at Planet Fitness located at 6208 US 98 N. in Lakeland. He left his personal items in a secured locker. About 30 minutes later the victim received an alert that one of his credit cards had been used at Walmart (5800 US Hwy 98 N) in Lakeland.

The two suspects were captured on security video, and deputies are hoping someone may recognize them. The first suspect entered Planet Fitness and is seen leaving seven minutes later. The second suspect is observed at Walmart using the victim’s stolen credit card 14 minutes later. 

There are several cases of these suspects targeting Planet Fitness locations in Polk County. This is the only case that the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating; the other cases are being investigated by other local law enforcement agencies.
