CRIME: RETAIL THEFT 
CRIME SCENE: RACETRAC- 6650 US 98 NORTH, LAKELAND
POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CASE #23-28536

This retail theft occurred on July 11th at about 11:07pm. 

The suspect in this case entered the store and immediately told an employee that she was just getting ice for her cup. No problem there.

Unfortunately, she decided to grab some additional items and put them in her purse.  

The employee confronted the woman about the items and the suspect denied it and told the employee she was rude for accusing her of stealing.

The suspect is believed to have left in the maroon SUV (possibly a Nissan Rogue or Murano) seen in the video.
