The two suspects have been identified as 42-year old Monty McCaskill and 21-year old Joshua Haranda (both from Davenport), and they have been arrested.

A parole officer recognized Monty in the Crime Stoppers post. Monty was her parolee's brother, and Joshua is the parolee's daughter's boyfriend. Did you get all that?

Monty and Joshua were charged with grand theft. 

CRIME: RETAIL THEFT
CRIME SCENE: DICK'S - POSNER PARK, DAVENPORT
POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CASE: #24-51832

On December 26, 2024, at around5:43pm, a retail theft occurred from the Dick's Sporting Goods Store at Posner Park in Davenport.

A man wearing a blue shirt entered the store and removed two golf clubs from their display area and concealed them inside of a women's golf bag. The man exited the store.

A short time later, a man wearing a red & black hunting cap with antlers entered the store, grabbed the same golf bag with clubs, and exited the store without paying for the items.

Both men were in a silver sedan.

The total value of the theft was $3,188.56.
