A Brandon man is being sought by the Polk County Sheriff's Office following a violent outburst fueled by jealousy.

On March 4th at about 5pm, 27-year old Daniel Brito showed up unannounced at an ex-girlfriend's workplace on South Florida Avenue in Lakeland. 

As the victim was walking to her vehicle, Brito approached her from behind and grabbed her phone, demanding to know with whom she has been speaking to in the past few weeks. 

Brito threw the victim's phone to the ground and continued to damage it. Then he turned his attention to the victim and attacked her before fleeing the scene.

Daniel Brito is described as being about 5'10" and 190 pounds.  His last residence is believed to be Julie Lane in Brandon.
