On Sunday morning August 10, 2025, at around 3 am, a PCSO deputy noticed a gray Chevy Impala traveling east at a high-rate of speed on State Road 60 near Flamingo Drive in Bartow.

Initially, the Impala was doing 78 mph in a 45 mph zone. 

The vehicle began weaving through traffic, and increased its speed to 120 mph in a 55 mph zone.

It appeared the driver saw the patrol vehicle, because it began braking suddenly, and then pulled to a stop beside an unoccupied building.

The deputy pulled up and conducted a traffic stop.

The driver was identified as 19-year old Isaiah Garcia of Haines City.

Isaiah was and taken to the Polk County Jail where he was charged with: Dangerous Excessive Speeding and Reckless Driving.
